D-Day Celebrations | Dathliadau D-Day

Over 100 residents came together to commemorate D Day in Church House on Friday 6 June. The evening was opened with a tribute and a minutes silence to remember the fallen, the names of the Llansanffraid fallen were read out by Chris Betts of the Royal British Legion. There followed a musical programme of songs from the 1940’s performed by the pantomime group and Cor Pobol Llan. Jam sandwiches tea and coffee was served.

Daeth dros 100 o drigolion ynghyd i goffau D Day yn Church House ddydd Gwener 6 Mehefin. Agorwyd y noson gyda theyrnged a munud o dawelwch i gofio’r rhai a fu farw, darllenwyd enwau’r rhai fu farw yn Llansanffraid gan Chris Betts o’r Lleng Brydeinig Frenhinol. Yna cafwyd rhaglen gerddorol o ganeuon o’r 1940au a berfformiwyd gan y grŵp pantomeim a Chor Pobol Llan. Brechdanau jam yn cael ei weini te a choffi.
