Annual Council insurance renewal due 28th August.
Re-sent email asking for preferences re items to be covered. Not many responses to date.
Online VAT reclaim process
We are right to question the HMRC assertion that we need to be VAT registered; in the meantime revert to VAT reclaims by paper forms.
Defibs.
NHS no longer supply free pads and we have two sets expiring 23rd August; need ongoing approval to purchase replacements. Gill suggested having a spare set as emergency backup: see Appendix.
6. Any other business

Next meeting: Monday 2nd September
Appendix - Defibrillator pads expiry dates
Bryn Rhys 3/8/24
Tal y Fan 3/8/24
Church Hse 1/8/25
Riverside 3/2/26
Cae Ffwt 9/7/26
Buckley’s 4/12/26
Dolwyd 23/1/27
Church House pads cost £56/pair and have a lifespan of about 24 months. All other units’ pads also cost £56/pair with a lifespan of about 18 months.
List above shows current expiry dates: if we buy a spare set then they will have expired before the next due replacement (Riverside: Church House is a different brand); they will therefore only be of use as an emergency back-up.

Esther advises to have a spare set and then keep them somewhere accessible in an emergency.
